AW WHAT. Art I never shared??

I’m working on redoing my portfolio page on my website, and so I was digging through my folder from last year looking for these specific pieces (and I’m stupid and couldn’t remember where I saved them)…ANYWAY I found a bunch of sketches I don’t think I had ever shared??

They were all from the same 2 months, so I guess I didn’t share them because I was depressed (this was before I started my dailies, even!)

But then I feel kind of bummed because, well, they’re not great but they don’t suck as much as I probably thought they did, ya know?

So posting now under the cut in case you want to see art that I (mysteriously, for whatever reason) never posted.

Couldn’t sleep so did some sketching.

I don’t know why, but I like the bird one a lot.

Doodles from my epiphany haha. I was going to storyboard the whole scene but realized it’d be too time-consuming, so…yeah.

I can’t believe I ever wrote these scenes without Malachi… xD

Abigail (“Abby”) and Malachi are Fay and Aria’s divorced parents, and after Abby discovered the girls weren’t home, she harasses everyone for clues. Eventually she ends up barging in the middle of a court session to interrogate Jude’s dad, Wesley, to ask about their whereabouts. So…basically while Jude and the girls are having their big adventure, their parents are having an adventure of their own LOL except I’m only going to leave in a few scenes here and there, like this one.

quick portraits as a result of procrastination, WOOPS.

quick gist of the story: Jude wants to win back the love of Lorelle, the girls want to find their father while simultaneously avoiding their mother, and the three of them end up on a ridiculous adventure where they learn about love, family, and how to be better people. The end.

…That was the horrible and vague summary, but the only quick way I could think to explain the story haha. XD

wahwahwah more post-work concept stuff. XD

A few more doodles for/from the same story I’ve been trying to figure out. (I have more, but they aren’t very good lol)

Reaaaally should be working on other stuff though… o_< Blaaah!

More sketches from the same story (as well as the same sketch from before without any color on it, in case you were curious to see it that way).

I’m pretending doing these is helping me write it.

I am so good at pretend.
